Bestselling author Sena Jeter Naslund will be reading from her work at the
Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster on Friday, August 7, at 7:00
pm. Member: $3.00, Non-member: $5.00.  

Joining the ranks of books designated as "Modern Classics," her novel Ahab's
Wife has just been reissued in a deluxe paperback edition by Perennial
Press.  Set on Nantucket and the high seas, Ahab's Wife was selected as a
Notable Book by the New York Times, Publishers' Weekly, and Time magazine.
Naslund's reading will be followed by a discussion of her writing process,
an informal reception and book signing.  This event is Ms. Naslund's only
Cape Cod appearance.

Sena Naslund is also the author of national bestselling novels Four Spirits,
set in her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama during the Civil Rights era; and
Abundance: A Novel of Marie Antoinette.  She is Writer in Residence and
Distinguished Teaching Professor at the University of Louisville, as well as
Program Director of the Spalding University brief-residency MFA in Writing
and former Kentucky Poet Laureate.
