*Wee Walkers* - Parent and child/children ages 2.5 to 4 years. This
hour-long program with a naturalist brings you out around the property
and along a short portion of the Briar Patch Trail. Focus is exploring
animal signs and discovering plants etc. in a manner suitable for the
young child. A portion of the hour will be devoted to closely examining
a live animal or animal artifact indoors.
Monday Mornings from 9:30 – 10:30am
January 26th through March 30th Fee $3pp members and $5pp non-members.

SCIENCE SNOOPS* – Children ages 4 – 6. This weekly program with a
naturalist allows the young child the opportunity to discover science.
Each week will focus on a different area of scientific exploration.
Children will have the opportunity to use microscopes, hand lens,
binoculars and other sophisticated equipment. Each session during the
week builds on the previous session. Children spend a portion of each
day outside exploring nature. A themed snack is prepared and shared by
the group each day.
Session 1 January 26, 28 and 30 Animal Adaptations for Winter
Session 2 February 2, 4, and 6 Snowflake Science
Session 3 February 9, 11 and 13 Birds of the Briar Patch – Beaks,
Feathers and Feet
Session 4 February 23, 25 and 27 Birds of the Briar Patch – Birds of Prey
Session 5 March 2, 4 and 6 Prehistoric Timeline – Dinosaurs and Fossils
Session 6 March 9, 11 and 13 Trees – Bark and Buds
Session 7 March 16, 18 and 20 Trees - Tree Rings and Papermaking
Session 8 March 23, 25 and 27 Springtime Frogs and Salamanders (Wear
waterproof boots)
Each day runs 9:00-11:30am Fee members $55 a week or $20 a day Fee
non-members $70 a week or $25 a day

SCIENCE AFTER SCHOOL*
Wacky Wednesdays Are Back with even more science activities and science
games. Students in Grades 1-4 are invited to share the fun every
Wednesday from 3:30 – 5:30 with pick up available from Sandwich Schools.
(Program does not run when there is no school) Pre-registration is
required. Parents must notify school office and classroom teacher if we
are picking up child at school.

Fee for members $15 per day $17 with transportation

*WINTER BIRDS*
Adults and homeschooled teens are invited for a stretch your legs and
expand your mind session this winter in the Briar Patch Conservation
Area. Learn to identify common birds of woods and wetlands in their
winter garb. Each class is divided into indoor and outdoor exploration
so dress appropriately. Instructor: Phil Kyle, Teacher/Naturalist and
avid birder.
Tuesdays from 10:00 – 12:30
January 27, February 3 and February 10 FEE: Members: $30 Non-members: $40
*WINTER TREES AND BUDS*
Adults and homeschooled teens are invited for a stretch your legs and
expand your mind session this winter in the Briar Patch Conservation
Area. Learn to identify common trees and shrubs in their winter garb.
Each class is divided into indoor and outdoor exploration so dress
appropriately. Instructor: Mary Beers, Director of Education
