On Saturday, February 7 at 2 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in
Brewster will present Stars, Planets and Life with Dr. Carter Emmart,
Director of Astrovisualization, the American Museum of Natural History, New
York. $3/Member, $5/Non-Member. Children under 12: Free. No
registration required.
This exceptional program will focus on our celestial origins and address
current knowledge of the continuum from stars to planets, life and us. Is
the process that created our ability to understand the universe and map it
across space and time unique?
At the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, ten years of
effort have gone into mapping the universe in 3D and developing tools and
shows to convey the layout of the universe to audiences in the rebuilt
Hayden Planetarium / Rose Center for Earth and Space.
Come take a tour through the universe with Dr. Emmart and see
behind-the-scenes of the next space show production telling us what we know
about ourselves on spaceship Earth.
For further information, please contact the Cape Cod Museum of Natural
History,
508-896-3867, Ext. 129.
