Just a reminder for this program that had to be rescheduled due to
extreme weather. Dave is even bringing along some furry mounts of the
host animals!

Tick Talk and Outdoor Walk

     Thursday, February 26

 10:30AM-12:30PM

Waquoit Bay Reserve

Cape Cod Extension Entomologist Dave Simser details the natural history
of ticks in this informative program designed to make you aware of the
habits and preferred habitats of this parasite. Dave will discuss the
various tick borne diseases as well as provide tips for avoiding contact
and making your property less appealing to these creatures.

After the talk we will walk around the grounds of the Reserve
highlighting the different places where ticks may be found and ways to
alter areas around your home to discourage ticks and their hosts.

Please dress for the weather and wear winter boots. For more
information, to register, or in the case of inclement weather, please
visit www.waquoitbayreserve.org <http://www.waquoitbayreserve.org/> or
