3rd Nantucket Biodiversity Initiative Conference

CALL FOR PAPERS
Who: Any person or organization who has conducted biodiversity related
research on Nantucket, Tuckernuck, Muskeget, Cape Cod, Long Island or other
similar habitats is invited to apply for a place on the program either for
an oral (15 min plus 5 min for questions) or poster presentation.
Submit Abstract: Please submit abstract no later than 11 August 2009 to:

Important: Limited travel expenses are available for presenters. Oral
Presentation space is limited. Abstracts received early or from Nantucket
Biodiversity Initiative grant recipients will be given preference for oral
presentations. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 15 August
2009.

The Nantucket Biodiversity Initiative (NBI) is a partnership between
Nantucket conservation organizations, government agencies and individuals
interested in documenting the biodiversity of the islands and adjacent
waters and monitoring and conserving that biodiversity over time.
Members of the NBI partnership include: Linda Loring Nature Foundation,
Maria Mitchell Association, Massachusetts Audubon Society, Nantucket
Conservation Foundation, Nantucket Garden Club, Nantucket Islands Land Bank
Commission, Nantucket Land Council, Natural Heritage & Endangered Species
Program of Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife, Science
Department of Nantucket High School, The Trustees of Reservations,
Tuckernuck Land Trust, and University of Massachusetts Boston Nantucket
Field Station.
