The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster will present a
professional development workshop for teachers and educators: Beneath the
Waves. The dates are Saturday, May 16 from 9 am-3 pm and Sunday, May 17 from
10 am-2 pm. Registration fee: $25. Limited to 30 participants.  Call
508-896-3867, ext. 133 for information.
 
Participants earn 10 PDPs towards re-certification and explore concepts
related to marine wildlife and climate change.
 
Once again the Museum teams up with the International Fund for Animal
Welfare and The Cape Cod Times/Standard Times News in Education Program to
present an exciting science workshop recommended for Grades 3 -9 teachers.
Led by Nancy Church, M.Ed., and Maureen Dwyer, MA, CAGS, the workshop
includes participatory indoor/outdoor activities and ways to incorporate
technology in the classroom. Participants also receive a set of
standards-based lessons, classroom video, teacher guides, Museum passes and
a goody bag of gifts from the sponsors. Saturday lunch included.
