On Friday, October 3 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm the Cape Cod Museum of
Natural History in Brewster will present an Archaeology Lab Open House.
This special event is free to the public with Museum admission and is
appropriate for all ages.
 
Museum archaeology volunteers, led by resident archaeologist, Dr. Fred
Dunford, will give visitors a highly informative tour of the Archaeology
Lab.  Learn about the Museum's efforts to uncover and tell the story of
9,000 years of human history in the Stony Brook Valley. Discover how the
artifacts discovered on Wing's Island have helped us to understand the
culture and history of Cape Cod's first people.
 
October is Archaeology Month sponsored by the Mass Historical Commission.
