CSI: CREATURE SIGNS INVESTIGATIONS
Are you not finding any creatures to watch in the woods? No problem.
Rabbits, opossums, skunks, raccoons and coyotes always leave leftovers from
foraging - whether tracks, scat or chews. These plus pelts, skulls and
slides of local fauna will be discussed during a special program offered for
adults on Wednesday, November 5 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at the Green Briar
Nature Center in East Sandwich. "CSI: Creature Signs Investigations" is
among a number of new programs for adults taking place at Green Briar during
the coming months. The fee is $10 for members, $12 for non-members. Call
508-888-6870 to register.
FULL MOON WALKS AT GREEN BRIAR
Come along on one of the monthly full moon walks at the Green Briar Nature
Center in East Sandwich. Join the naturalist looking and listening for
signs of night animals along the wooded trails of the Briar Patch. These
popular walks are always fun and suitable for adults and children ages 4 and
up. Walk by the light of the "Beaver Moon" on Thursday, November 13 and the
"Cold Moon" on Friday, December 12. Both walks begin at 6:00pm. The fee
for members of the Thornton W. Burgess Society is $5 adult, $3 child (family
maximum $16); for non-members $7 adult, $4 child (family maximum $22).
Advance registration is required. Call 508-888-6870.
