The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster is presenting a new
course with Fred Dunford, Resident Archaeologist: Time, Tide and Tradition:
10,000 Years of History in the Stony Brook Valley of Brewster. The course
will take place every Thursday from February 14 through March 20 from
9:30-11:00 am at the Museum. The cost is $60/Non-Member and $50/Member.
Individual sessions are $11/Non-Member and $9/Member.

Since its icy beginning at the end of the last ice age to the
present day, the Stony Brook Valley of Brewster has been home to a myriad of
diverse human communities, whose rich histories are told in ancient
artifacts, musty documents, and curious place names.

This class will consider the stories of all of those people who called Stony
Brook Valley home--from the time of the earliest prehistoric hunters and
fishermen through the early 1950s when a diverse group of artists, writers
and traditional Cape Codders came together to form the Cape Cod Museum of
Natural History.

Dr. Fred Dunford, who last spring presented the very popular course Just
Beneath Our Feet: The Archaeology of Cape Cod, now takes you on a memorable
historical journey through this area of Cape Cod.
