September and October Wednesday Walks 
With Naturalist Connie Boyce

 

10am - 12 noon
Approximate length of walks: 3-4 miles. Heavy rain cancels the walk.

September
September 3     Bells Neck Conservation Area, Harwich
                                    Leave CCMNH  9:20 am
September 10               Talbot Point, Sandwich
                                    Leave CCMNH 9:10 am  Van trip
(Sunday)September 14             
Sunset/Moonrise walk
                                    Leave CCMNH at 5:44 pm
We will walk on the boardwalk over the salt marsh and continue across Wing's
Island to the beach. As we wait for the sun to set we can look for some of
the creatures who inhabit the area. Once the sun has disappeared we will
look for the moon to rise over Wing's Island. After the moon rises perhaps
we will sing a chorus or two of "Shine on Harvest Moon!" Then we will return
to the CCMNH parking lot. Please bring insect repellent and a flashlight.
Rain will cancel walk.
 
September 17               Little Sandy Pond to Horse Pond  
                                   West Yarmouth. Leave CCMNH  9:10 am
September 24               To be announced.
 
October      
October 1                    Sandy Neck, Barnstable
                                    Leave CCMNH 9:00 am   Van trip
October  8                   Spruce Hill to Namskaket Marsh, Brewster
                                    Leave CCMNH 9:45 am
 October 15                 Syrjala Conservation Area - Yarmouth Bogs, 
                          Yarmouth. Leave CCMNH  9:15 am
 October 22                 To be announced.
 October 29                 Flax Pond to Run Pond, Dennis
                                    Leave CCMNH  9:40 am
