On Wednesday, September 24 at 10:00 am Guitta Blau, a member of the Boston
Mycological Society, will present a foraging walk followed by a highly
informative talk on mushrooms. $5/Member, $7/Non-Member.  
 
Participants need to wear sturdy walking/hiking shoes, warm clothes and
bring rain gear, insect repellent, sunscreen and a brown paper bag for
specimens. Meet for the walk at the Museum.
 
Mushrooms play an essential role in the ecosystem as decomposers or as
pathogens for some trees. Come and learn about the major groups of
mushrooms, field identification, where and when to collect them, and tools
for foraging.
