The Friends of the CCMNH present a program by Gabrielle Sakolsky, Assistant
Superintendent and Staff Entomologist for the Cape Cod Mosquito Control
Project.
Gabrielle Sakolsky graduated with an M.S in entomology from the University
of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1994. She has served as entomologist of the
Cape Cod Mosquito Control Project for the last 14 years. In 2000, she was
promoted to Assistant Superintendent. Her work includes monitoring and
treating for mosquitoes throughout Barnstable County. She supervises the
field workers, maintains detailed wetlands maps, identifies insects and
sends specimens to the State Laboratory Institute for arbovirus testing,
including Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) and West Nile Virus.
Please join us to learn what the County mosquito control group is doing to
control the mosquito population on the Cape.
