Climate change is the most important science issue of the new century
and climate topics will connect your students with science every day!
These topics, drawn from the Massachusetts frameworks, integrate math,
science, and technology, and offer lots of opportunities for hands-on
learning. Studying coastal climate change is especially engaging, as
land, sea and atmosphere interact and affect water, marshes, birds,
fish, and shellfish.

You will hear expert presenters from Woods Hole science institutions,
sample at the shore of a coastal bay, and collect resources to teach
about climate science, coastal systems, and how oceans and climate are
connected. We'll sort out climate fact from fiction, collect data, and
design investigations for students. Participants will receive lesson
plans and a resource CD.

Cost $50 for course to cover materials

Optional credit costs $165 for 3 graduate credits from
Framingham State College

            No extra charge for PDPs
