[SEMCO] A Sea of Change Lecture Series: Hard Shells, Hard Times

Nantucket Soundkeeper and the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society present
the second in a five-part lecture series, A Sea of Change: Survival of
Marine Wildlife in Today's Oceans - Impacts, Implications and Improvements,
on the effects of climate change on the ocean and local marine wildlife.
The free public presentations are being held on Wednesdays between July 18
and August 15 at 7:00p.m. at the Harwich Community Center, 100 Oak Street in
Harwich.
On August 1st, Shannon Eldredge talks about the changes in shellfish
populations and the shellfishing industry around Cape Cod.
Upcoming presentations in the A Sea of Change series include Sarah Herzig
from the Cape Cod Stranding Network on August 8th discussing seals and
strandings, and Charles 'Stormy' Mayo from the Provincetown Center for
Coastal Studies on August 15th speaking on plankton and right whales.
