New DVD Available from Woods Hole Sea Grant and Cape Cod Cooperative
Extension:

Coastal Landforms, Coastal Processes and Erosion Control on Cape Cod &
Southern Plymouth, Massachusetts

Join us for an informative tour of the spectacular shoreline of Cape Cod
and southern Plymouth, Massachusetts. This DVD includes
visits to 11 sites (see below) featuring beaches, dunes, barrier
beaches, coastal banks, and salt marshes. Experts discuss the
interactive coastal processes that created and allow for the continued
existence of these important resources and examine a variety of coastal
erosion control alternatives. Some of the regulatory issues associated
with living along the shore and in coastal floodplains in MA are covered.

The coastal processes principles and description of the beneficial
functions and interactions of coastal landforms included on this
DVD are not specific to Cape Cod and Plymouth but are intrinsic to any
coastal or shoreline location.

The DVD is free and available from Woods Hole Sea Grant. Contact Sheri
DeRosa at sderosa at whoi.edu with your name and mailing address.
