South Coast Renewable Energy Series--Wind Energy Forum Panelist Update

The Westport River Watershed Alliance, the Lloyd Center for the
Environment, and the Southeastern Environmental Education Alliance
(SEEAL), are sponsoring the South Coast Renewable Energy Series, a
sequence of expert-panel forums to disseminate information about the use
of alternative energies. The first forum, Residential Wind Energy, will
be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, in the
Macomber Meeting House, 930 Main Road, Westport (MA). The forum is free
and open to the public, and will present a well-balanced perspective of
possibilities and limits to residential wind energy in Westport and
Dartmouth.

The updated lineup of the seven panelists is as follows: John Abe,
Project Manager of the Renewable Energy Trust, an affiliate of the
Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC); Arthur Larrivee, Dartmouth
resident and owner of two turbines; Jim McBratney, from Sylvan Nursery
and wind turbine owner; Steve Pitney, Plymouth Alternative Energy; Shawn
Shaw, The Cadmus Group; Newell Thomas, Lighthouse Electric; and Tom
Wineman, Clean Energy Design. Representing the towns of Westport and
Dartmouth will be Ron Dipippo and David Dionne, both members of their
town's respective Alternative Energy Committees. There will be an
opportunity for exchange in views among attendees and panelists
following the panel's presentations.

Details regarding the three remaining forums will be announced soon.
The topics will cover biomass / biofuels, solar technologies, and
retrofitting your home to be energy efficient. For further information,
email or call Jennifer Marshall at outreach at wrwa.com or 508-636-3016 or
JoAnn Cornell at jcornell at lloydcenter.org or 508-990-0505.
