"Just Beneath Our Feet: The Archaeology of Cape Cod"

   The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents "Just Beneath
Our Feet: The Archaeology of Cape Cod," with archaeologist Fred Dunford.
This six-week course will be held every Tuesday beginning April 3 through
May 8 from 10:00-11:30 am in the museum. Course cost: $40/M, $50/NM.
Individual sessions: $7/M, $$8/NM.  Reservations are recommended and can be
made by phone to the museum (508-896-3867, Ext. 133).

 

   This course will explore the prehistory and early history of Cape Cod in
an informal format, encouraging questions and discussions. In special focus
will be the geological formation of Cape Cod, the region's earliest
inhabitants as they adapt to the rising sea and the development of
wonderfully productive landscapes and, with the arrival of the first
European explorers, the settled farming and fishing villages of the early
17th century.
