 PCCS Sponsors Winter Lecture Series in Orleans

 

(Provincetown, Cape Cod, MA) - The Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies (PCCS) will sponsor a lecture at Snow Library in Orleans on Wednesday, February 28.  The lecture is free and open to the public:

Director, Right Whale Aerial Survey

"Right Whales: Today and Tomorrow"

 


The North Atlantic right whale remains on the critically endangered list with fewer than 350 whales remaining.  Dr. Jaquet will discuss research techniques such as aerial survey and photo-identification data.  Learn about past and present threats facing this critically endangered species.

The Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies was founded in 1976 and is dedicated to researching and protecting marine mammals and marine ecosystems in the Gulf of Maine, through applied research, conservation, environmental and educational programs.
