The science labs of the new NOAA Ship Henry B. Bigelow will be open for
public tours this Saturday from 2:30 PM until 6PM at Massachusetts
Maritime Academy. The ship is a state-of-the-art fishery research
vessel and one of the quietest ships in the world. The Bigelow will
operate primarily in waters off the Northeastern U.S. and eventually
replace the NOAA Ship Albatross IV, which has served NOAA's Fisheries
Service in the Northeast since 1962.
Tours are free, no unaccompanied children, no pets. Ship is not
wheelchair accessible.
