Massachusetts Marine Educators 31st Woods Hole Conference
Saturday, May 5, 2006 Redfield Auditorium, WHOI
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM PDPs Available
Conference Theme: Ocean Technology
Join us for the annual Massachusetts Marine Educators conference at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) as we investigate Ocean Technology. Come hear marine scientists speak about their latest research, and meet a teacher who has dived to the deep ocean in ALVIN! You can learn how to bring the irresistible topic of Ocean Technology to your students, as you visit research labs and collect lesson ideas, posters, and a CD. Try your hand at oceanographic sampling aboard the Ocean Quest research vessel Sea Star, or meet a local artist who uses deep-sea sediments to make beautiful ceramics. Don't miss this opportunity to meet the people and machines that make exciting discoveries in ocean research. You can even earn PDPs for attending the conference!
