Audience: Town administrators; select board and council members;
finance, energy and building committee members; school administrators
and board members; fleet managers; and DPW officials.
Presentations by experts as well as peers will provide municipal and
school officials with inspiration, motivation and guidance to implement
clean energy projects, programs and policies in their own communities.
Participants will gain practical knowledge on how to reduce energy
bills, increase energy efficiency, green up buildings and vehicle
fleets, harness renewable energy and control greenhouse gas emissions
associated with municipal and school operations. In addition to the full
day workshop, there will be an introduction to the Cape & Islands
Renewable Energy Action Plan, a tour of the college's Platinum LEED
building, a vendor's fair and opportunities to view alternative fleet

Massachusetts Coastal Training Program (CTP): The CTP is designed to
help meet coastal challenges with local solutions by providing support
to coastal decision-makers in the form of science-based training and
information that can be readily applied to management issues. The CTP is
a part of the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve,
Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
The Cape and Islands Renewable Energy Collaborative (CIREC): CIREC is a
diverse group of individuals, organizations and businesses working
together to promote a sustainable energy future for the Cape and
Islands.
