TRACKING OSPREYS BY SATELLITE
by Dr. Rob Bierregaard, University of North Carolina
Saturday, September 16, 7 p.m.
Dr. Bierregaard, of University of North Carolina, has been following, via
satellite telemetry, the migration of Martha's Vineyard ospreys for 6 years.
He has worked with Gus Ben David, Mass Audubon and many volunteers
monitoring the population of the Vineyard's ospreys since 1969. During this
time the population has grown from just 2 pairs to over 70 pairs!
