Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary

A National Marine Sanctuaries Professional Development Opportunity for
Educators

There are a few spaces remaining for the Mapping Ocean Sanctuaries GIS
workshop at Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary, July 6-8, 2005 in

Scituate, Massachusetts. The workshop is sponsored by a 2003 Grosvenor
Geography Education Grant from the National Geographic Society.
Participants will receive complimentary copies of the Exploring Data
with GIS to Experience Sanctuaries (EDGES) lessons, Mapping Our World
lessons, and a one year site license for ArcView GIS 3.x software.

The workshop includes a boat trip out to Stellwagen Bank National Marine

Sanctuary to collect whale sighting data. Snacks and lunches are
provided each day. Transportation and lodging are the responsibility of
the participant. Applications may be downloaded from
