Quashnet River Walk - Introduction to Trail Steward Program

Saturday, June 11: 9:00AM

Waquoit Bay and its tributaries include more than 1200 acres of protected
lands in Falmouth and Mashpee; we need your help in managing our trails. If
you enjoy walking in the woods; on woods roads and trails we are looking for
volunteers to "adopt-a-trail".  Volunteers walk their trail once a week;
report back any sightings, happenings or unique wildlife. If you'd like to
join this program or just come see one of our properties, join Brendan
Annett, stewardship coordinator for a 3-5 mile walk along the Quashnet River
Property. Meet at the Martin Road entrance, bring along water, a hat and
sunscreen.

The Educated Visitor Greeter

Wednesday, June 15: 3:00 - 5:00PM

The headquarters is visited by people from all over the world each summer.
We will go over the "ins and outs" of staffing the visitor center, how to
interpret the exhibits and how to answer the most common visitor questions.
A must for Greeters, but all volunteers are welcome.
