INVITATION TO EARTH DAY PROGRAM (April 22)
 
John Holdren, the incoming director of the Woods Hole Research Center, will  
speak  on energy and environmental issues on Friday night, April 22, in  
Falmouth.
 
Dr. Holdren received the 1995 Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of the Pugwash  
Conference on Science and World Affairs.   He is an authority on  sustainable 
development, arms control, and global energy policy who has been a  science 
advisor in the Clinton and Bush administrations....   He is  concerned about global 
warming and rising energy costs...
 
April 22nd is Earth Day...  The title for Dr. Holdren's presentation  is, 
"Environmental Change and the Human Condition."    The  program will take place 
at the Unitarian Universalist meetinghouse at 840  Sandwich Road in East 
Falmouth...   A reception with light  refreshments will begin at 7:00 pm.  Dr. 
Holdren will speak at 8:00  pm.
 
This is a program for the whole community.  The public is  invited.  
Admission is free.
 
The April 22nd  event is sponsored by the Sierra Club's Cape Cod  Group.  
During the reception,  information will be presented about  Sierra Club 
activities...  The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of  Falmouth has provided support 
for Dr. Holdren's presentation.
