Hurricane Charley and Hurricane Frances have caused enormous damage in
Florida during recent days.... How would Cape Cod and neighboring coastal areas
respond if similar storms hit New England? What would happen in villages like
Woods Hole?

On Saturday morning, September 11th, area residents will gather on the
village green, in Falmouth, to reflect on the 9/11 tragedies and on the need for
continuing support for emergency services in our communities... This memorial
event is sponsored by the Upper Cape Medical Reserve Corps and the Upper Cape
Chaplaincy. There will be brief presentations and prayers by community,
medical, and religious leaders. All people are invited.... The September 11th
event will begin at 8:30 am....

The village green is the open area in Falmouth, between the First
Congregational Church and Saint Barnabas Church. For additional information about the
September 11th memorial gathering, please contact Rev. Sally Miller, one of the
chaplains at Falmouth Hospital.
