Joanna Wilson will speak on "Wildlife at Risk? The issues, research, and
evidence concerning contaminant effects in marine mammals," at the September
18th meeting of the Cape Cod Group, Sierra Club, 7:30PM at the Chatham Public
Library.
Dr. Wilson recently completed PhD requirements in the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution's Joint Program in
Biological Oceanography. She has a B.Sc. in Biology and Pharmacology from
McMaster University (Canada) and a M.Sc. in Biology from the University of
Victoria (Canada). Her research examines the expression of cytochrome P450
enzymes and how that relates to contaminant exposure in cetaceans.
All are welcome to attend.
