Coastal Training and Information Coordinator
The Citizens for the Protection of Waquoit Bay (CPWB) is seeking a qualified individual to provide coastal training and information coordinating services for the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. The candidate should be well-organized, self-motivated, with significant experience and knowledge in coastal and estuarine ecology, coastal management and innovative ways of transferring science to management.   

The applicant should have a graduate degree in Biology, Environmental Science or related field, Marine Policy or Environmental Policy.  A dual degree in science and policy is optimal.   The Coastal Training and Information Coordinator must be able to work effectively with scientists, coastal decision-makers, volunteers, and the staff.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Computer skills (spreadsheet, word and PageMaker) are a must. GIS experience and grant writing experience is a plus.  The successful candidate must like working with people and as part of a team.  They should have a strong environmental ethic and sense of humor. SALARY:
$21.90 per hour/1800 hours per fiscal year. This is a yearly renewable contract position dependent on funding. No benefits available.

Finalists will be asked to provide a presentation, translating science to a coastal management issue, to the staff as part of the final selection.
