The international "Coastal Sweep" begins on Saturday, Sept. 21. Thousands
of volunteers, in the United States and other nations, will gather up
litter and record data on beaches. Several projects are planned for Cape Cod
for this weekend.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, volunteers will meet at noon, at Waterfront Park, on
Water Street, in Woods Hole. Trash bags and data cards will be provided. The
Saturday crew will work "for about an hour" picking up litter along the Woods
Hole waterfront.
On Sunday, Sept. 22, volunteers will meet at 1 pm, at Wood Neck Beach, in
Falmouth. Swimming is a possibility. Bring a picnic lunch and drinks, if
you like, and we'll enjoy a picnic on the beach...
For additional information, please contact Robert Murphy. HOME TELEPHONE:
(508) 563-5948.
