Sunday, November 17, 10 am.  Bird Watching at Falmouth's Ponds and
Shores.   Meet at the Locust St. parking area for the Bicycle Path to
carpool.  Dress warmly and bring binoculars and 'scopes if you have

Sunday December 8,  8 am.  Annual Cape Cod Bird Club Lake and Pond
Waterfowl Survey.

       On Sunday, December 8, the group will visit eleven ponds, from
Sippewissett to Crooked Pond in East Falmouth and some of Waquoit's
hidden ponds.   We can expect to see Hooded Mergansers, Ring-necked
Ducks, Green-winged Teal, and many others.  Last year we recorded 15
species of waterfowl.

       We shall start at 8 am and finish around 3 pm, so participants
should bring a lunch, binoculars, a sense of adventure, and wear warm
clothes.

       This will be the sixth year that Alison Robb with the help of Bob
Vander Pyl and other regulars has counted waterfowl across Falmouth
early in December.  At the same time, groups all over the Cape will be

The Fall season is slack season for nature walks.  Birding will
continue, and there may be some special events coming up, but the usual
busy calendar will recommence in the Spring.
