Just quick additional thoughts to share: I see Rik and Laure both doing "gases" so the exterty in that subject area might be overlapping a little bit? we may consider replace one of the two with someone actively working on the sea-surface micro-layer's bio-geo-chemistry,
as many air-sea exchange interactions occur across that interface, although much there remain to be studied?

The committee members who are at the SOLAS open science meeting in Japan just had a productive meeting to brainstorm about the workshop (Dave K., Dave H., Tom, Bill and me). We came up with a strawlist of speakers for the workshop as well as some ideas about
the application, format, publicizing, etc. I wrote the ideas in the google doc that Heather set up (<a href="https://nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fdocument%2Fd%2F1aXovYa1iMGzSMS6F0cwIihh8J8N_gDlAZNxCPQxtpbU%2Fedit&data=02%7C01%7Cyuangaoh%40newark.rutgers.edu%7C7e5fe1db77024c7f661308d6c886e0ba%7Cb92d2b234d35447093ff69aca6632ffe%7C1%7C1%7C636916878968774902&sdata=uFcrBlokqWdBk9MEYI7hVn8A38RySIFSxBhaC5blT6k%3D&reserved=0" originalsrc="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aXovYa1iMGzSMS6F0cwIihh8J8N_gDlAZNxCPQxtpbU/edit" shash="Gsx6n1nkMlvoFGRCBnCEgJ+A8L1vYxWlKVOGTopPVLN5mpm4nXbHGs33u3LnwV8ANuPeZFlRchglrt80vQDAgE6r3FWiBUG+u5CwqpMkeb1sywvBy6WNGr06tm6imxVC85hSmxfL2UQIhh0RXgLutPNckSSLhQ7zTpd+fohiZE4=" rel="noreferrer noreferrer" target="_blank" style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:small" id="LPlnk969988" class="OWAAutoLink" previewremoved="true">https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aXovYa1iMGzSMS6F0cwIihh8J8N_gDlAZNxCPQxtpbU/edit</a><span style="font-size:11pt">)
but also since it would be good to get input soon, especially on the speakers, and some people might not check the google doc that often, I’ll also write our ideas on speakers and application below (you’ll need to go to google doc to see ideas on format and

American, represent different areas of ocean-air interaction/SOLAS themes, and represent different career stages and genders. We thought 5 plenary speakers would be good number.</p>
