A team of multidisciplinary researchers at UNC Wilmington are leading a study along a River to Gulf Stream transect in order to establish baselines on physical, chemical, and biological processes taking place on a western boundary system. The research project, titled TEAL-SHIPS: Transect Expedition to Assess Land-to-Sea Habitats via Interdisciplinary Process Studies will consist of quarterly cruises over a period of three years and is an exciting opportunity that brings novel collaborations between UNCW, UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State University, and East Carolina University. This is a one-of-kind opportunity funded by the University of North Carolina System.

As part of this research, we are seeking to bring onboard a Postdoctoral researcher with interests in multidisciplinary research spanning the fields of Marine Ecology, Physical, Chemical, and Biological Oceanography, as well as Fisheries Biology.
