I am hiring a postdoctoral researcher to work on a recently funded NSF grant studying the cycling of labile DOM, specifically focusing on the production and uptake of organic osmolytes under different nutrient regimes. This work is in collaboration with Harriet Alexander (WHOI) and Erin McParland (OSU). The position is based at the Center for Marine Science at UNC Wilmington. The postdoctoral scholar would ideally start this spring, have a background in chemical or microbial oceanography, and have familiarity with mass spectrometry. There will be an opportunity to help lead a research cruise and to teach in an oceanography summer school in Ghana and Nigeria.
