My colleague is looking for a post-doc researcher with an ocean or
mechanical engineering background that has experience or is interested
in ocean related projects.  The work that he is conducting involves
performing physical model tests in the Hydromechanics Laboratory at the
U.S. Naval Academy to understand the mechanics of entanglement in
aquaculture systems deployed offshore.  Opportunities also exist for the
candidate to develop novel instruments for this application, performing
entanglement numerical model simulations and quantifying risk.

Below you will find a link to the job advertisement.  The position is
facilitated through Consolidated Safety Services, Inc. with funding from
NOAA.  Therefore the individual will be characterized as a NOAA
contractor and be subject to a background check so they will be able to
work at a federal facility.
