Previous holders of the Professorship of Mineralogy & Petrology have included Professors CE Tilley, Alex Deer, Ron Oxburgh and Ekhard Salje.

Previous holders of the Professorship of Geophysics have included Professors EC Bullard, Chris Chapman, Jack Jacobs and Bob White.
