The Department of Marine Sciences at the University of Connecticut
(UConn) invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track position as
Assistant Professor in the area of physical oceanography. We seek
candidates with physical oceanographic expertise that can include
turbulence, waves, air-sea interaction, and physical ocean
dynamics. Preference will be given to those who apply observations to
studying processes controlling mass, momentum, and energy transfer
across boundaries (atmosphere and benthic), across density fronts, and
throughout the ocean interior. Competitive candidates should have
experience in the development and use of modern measurement
technologies, data analysis, and in the advancement of theory.
