The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is advertising for two
marine science related faculty positions: (1) a marine or coastal
earth scientist and (2) an ecosystem service evaluator (see links
below). These are 9-month tenure track positions, teaching is
required, but researcher oriented faculty are sought and exceptional
candidates have the potential to access Texas Science and Technology
Acquisition and Retention (STAR) funds for enhanced startup. Our
current program is relatively small, but our outlook for
programmatic growth is strong. Candidates that can compliment our
nascent strengths in restoration ecology, artificial reefs, and
ocean intelligence are especially welcome. If you know of anyone
that might be interested, please pass this along. I am more than
happy to field any questions related to these positions.
All the best
