1. Global Partnerships Manager

  * Description: Reef-World is looking for a motivated entrepreneur to
    lead in the diversification of marine conservation funding sources
    and the establishment of sustainable funding mechanisms to support
    the Green Fins initiative. This exciting new role will primarily
    support in the development and delivery of a financial
    sustainability strategy; to include sustainable business
    partnerships and long term sustainable financing mechanisms. The
    individual will be responsible for building global partnerships that
    provide long-term financial support to Green Fins. The successful
    candidate will report to the senior managers and will be based in
    our Philippines office with relatively frequent travel around SE
    Asia (~25% of total), and other countries where Green Fins is
    active. In addition to their primary role, they will also support in
    the delivery of Green Fins (~25% of time), alongside country

4. Beach Sisters Fellow

  * Description: Since 1967, Northeastern University's Marine Science
    Center (MSC) has generated outstanding teaching and research in the
    marine sciences. The MSC's Outreach Program reaches over 7,000
    people per year through various programs and events, and has
    traditionally focused on serving teachers and students in eastern
    Massachusetts. The MSC and Girls Inc. of Lynn have developed
    the Beach Sister program in order to address the needs of youth in
    the City of Lynn by pairing the resources of an informal science
    education center with a community-based organization.
    The Beach Sister program will help pave the way for school-aged
    girls living in an environmental justice community to develop
    scientific inquiry and citizenship skills, and to learn about
    studies and careers in marine science. The Fellow will be
    responsible for coordinating and implementing
    the Beach Sister program. The Fellow will be tasked with expanding
    the Peer Leader program for teens, developing a more substantial
    middle school curriculum, providing training and capacity-building
    opportunities for Girls Inc. staff, and participating in evaluation
    efforts.

9. Turtle Sanctuary Coordinator

    to help coordinate and manage our sea turtle sanctuary, La Tortuga
    Viva. La Tortuga Viva is a sea turtle sanctuary in Juluchuca,
    Guerrero, on Mexico's Pacific coast and operates through the support
    of the sustainable boutique hotel, Playa Viva, and 14 volunteers
    from the local community. The sanctuary coordinator is a
    multifaceted role, involving community engagement, education,
    management, and scientific data collection and analysis. S/he will
    work under the guidance of and report to Playa Viva's Social and
    Environmental Impact Officer. S/he will assist/oversee conservation
    work (e.g. attending nightly patrols), collect, collate, and analyze
    data, organize sanctuary visits and hatchling releases (for hotel
    guests), build the capacity of local turtle volunteers, organize and
    lead educational presentations in the community and for hotel
    guests, write quarterly reports, build relationships with local
    conservation actors, and engage in fundraising and social media.
    Ideal candidate will have a (minimum) B.S. in marine
    biology/ecology, natural resource management or a related
    field, experience working in sea turtle conservation, fluency in
    Spanish, strong interpersonal communication skills, experience
    working in developing country contexts and working with small, rural
    communities. This is a great opportunity for a young professional
    looking to gain experience in community-based conservation and
    management. We require a commitment of 6 months and you must be
    willing and able to work in a tropical remote environment. In
    exchange for your service, the volunteer will have shared
    accommodation in the neighboring town of Juluchuca with fellow
    volunteers and 2 meals per day at Playa Viva hotel, 6 days per week.
