1. Programming Assistant

3. PhD Assistantship

    Affairs (web.uri.edu/maf) is seeking a PhD student to develop and
    test climate and disaster visualization techniques in the Marine
    Affairs Visualization Lab. URI is recognized as a leader in the US
    and globally in the field of coastal resilience and climate
    adaptation. The student will pursue the application of visualization
    design theory and practice to complex challenges of long-term
    planning for urban coastal communities vulnerable to storms, sea
    level rise, and other climate change impacts.  For the past several
    years, we have been conducting research into improving
    visualizations of climate hazards and applying them with the public
    and decision makers in coastal communities.  The student will
    conduct independent research aligned with these themes. This work
    uniquely combines aspects of ocean science, design, policy, and
    applied social science.

4. Social Media Volunteer Intern

  * Description: NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries is looking
    for a social media volunteer intern. The social media volunteer will
    be a member of the Education and Outreach Division, working
    primarily with the social media coordinator, and will contribute to
    a variety of public-facing materials and projects, including the
    Earth Is Blue social media campaign and articles for the web. The
    Education and Outreach Division is looking for a creative, motivated
    individual with an interest in marine conservation and science

11. Program Coordinator

  * Description: UNCW MarineQuest is hiring a long term temp position
    (40 hours/week for 18 months) to help implement Project Ghost
    Busters! This project focuses on the impacts of derelict fishing
    nets on the marine environment. The Project Coordinator will travel
    to middle schools in coastal NC counties to implement a newly
    designed curriculum. Project Ghost Busters will build on the success
    of MarineQuest's Traveling Through Trash project (a partnership with
    NOAA's office of Marine Debris Prevention through Education) by
    utilizing the inflatable whale classroom.

12. Outreach Instructor

    animal K-12 Standards of Learning (SOL) programs, and special needs
    programs at schools located in the Hampton Roads area; will also be

    other family events for general audiences. Programs require lifting

13. External Affairs Manager

14. Marine Conservation Technical Advisor

    lead the continued development of its marine conservation efforts
