* Description: This position serves in the regional marine fisheries
research section and is responsible for leading the management of
research projects on Chionoecetes crabs in the Bering Sea to provide
information for management. This position plans and manages research
projects, manages budgets, supervises staff, and analyzes and
reports findings. This position will be expected to travel,
participate on marine surveys in the Bering Sea, and have a valid
driver's license.

2. External Affairs Manager

* Description: The External Affairs Manager will serve as RAE's lead
liaison to key federal agencies, U.S. Congress, and multiple
national coalitions to advance coastal habitat restoration,
conservation policy, and RAE funding initiatives. This position
requires a highly dynamic individual who is passionate about the
natural environment, thrives on creativity and collaboration, and
pays close attention to detail and timeliness in a fast-paced work
environment. The nature of this position requires a team player with
strong communication skills and a positive attitude, as (s)he will
have regular interaction with other members of the RAE staff and the
RAE President (President) and Board of Directors (Board). The
position is located in Arlington, VA and reports directly to the

3. Funded PhD in Coastal Resource Management
* Organization: East Carolina University
* Location: Greenville, NC
* Description: A PhD student assistantship is available in the area of
socioeconomic-ecological systems modeling. The student will work on
an EPA-funded interdisciplinary project led by Dr. Jacob Hochard
(Dept. of Economics & Institute for Coastal Science and Policy) in
collaboration with Drs. Randall Etheridge (Dept. of Engineering &
Center for Sustainability) and Ariane Peralta (Dept. of Biology) at
East Carolina University. The PhD student will have a primary focus
on Coastal and Marine Economics and Policy and will choose a
secondary focus in Coastal Geosciences or Estuarine Ecology.
Students without a Master's degree can earn a Master's in Economics
as they progress through the PhD program. The CRM PhD student will
work closely with economics, biology and engineering faculty at East
Carolina University, as well as a Master's of Biology student, to
support an EPA-funded project to study nutrient pollution impacts on
human and environmental health in coastal watersheds. The qualified
candidate will have a strong undergraduate or graduate training in
economics and/or environmental studies. Candidates with an interest
in interdisciplinary research and a familiarity with econometric
techniques and geospatial analysis are strongly encouraged to apply.

4. Halibut Intern

5. Marine Conservation Technical Advisor

lead the continued development of its marine conservation efforts
and partnerships in Myanmar. The position is based at the WCS office

technical oversight to the WCS Myanmar marine conservation team in

6. Sea Otter Research and Conservation - Animal Care Intern Summer-Fall 2017

* Description: The Monterey Bay Aquarium's Sea Otter Research and
Conservation program is seeking enthusiastic and motivated
individuals to assist staff with the care and release of
live-stranded sea otters. Project responsibilities include, but are
not limited to, daily care and feeding of ill, injured and orphaned
sea otters, maintenance and cleaning of animal tanks and enclosures-
and computer data entry. Interns may also assist with rescues of
live-stranded otters, tracking of released otters, administration of
medication to sick otters, and managing otters in research projects.
Qualified applicants must be able to work in a team environment as
well as independently without direct supervision, and must have good
communication skills.

7. Social Media Volunteer Intern

* Description: NOAA's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries is looking
