1. Post Doctoral Fellow Position in Marine Affairs

* Description: In collaboration with the PI and team members, the post
doctoral fellow will conduct mixed-methods qualitative and
quantitative research to develop a risk indexing tool that
contributes to a deeper understanding of storm resilience for
maritime freight nodes (i.e., ports). Higher incidence of natural
disasters due to climate change will result in storm consequences
that disrupt communities, ecosystems, and economies of trading
partners both domestically and internationally. The Post Doc will
help to develop and test a methodology to work with an expert group
to select, weight, and aggregate indicators of climate risk across
the 23 high and medium-use coastal ports in the United States Army
Corps of Engineers (USACE) North Atlantic Districts coastal inlets
and navigation channels. The Post Doc will also work to advance
other research projects under the direction of the PI.
