2. Conservation Travel Programs Coordinator

    responsible for assisting the Director of Conservation Travel
    Programs in delivering life-changing experiences in nature for

9. Marine IUCN Red List Officer

  * Organization: Marine IUCN Red List Officer
  * Location: The Deep
  * Description: The Deep is recruiting a Marine Officer in a new
    project with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature
    (IUCN) Marine Biodiversity Unit.  The overall focus is to help
    achieve the goal of assessing the extinction risk of 20,000
    marine species by 2020. This is a permanent contract at 39 hours per
    week. Primary responsibilities include species-specific background
    research to assist with the Red Listing process, organizing and
    facilitating international workshops and meetings, and writing
    proposals, reports and scientific papers. In addition, the
    successful candidate will assist with the development and delivery
    of a conservation education programme for the general public as part
    of The Deep's education remit.  Further responsibilities include
    advising and assisting in the development of a model to encourage
    other aquariums to further engage with Red Listing and to showcase
    The Deep's leadership in this effort. This position will report to
    both the IUCN Global Marine Species Assessment (GMSA) Manager and
    The Deep's Curator. Applications are due February 8 at 9 am GMT.
