1. Marine Biologist I, Full-time

  * Description: The CNMI Division of Coastal Resources Management is
    seeking to hire a full-time Marine Biologist to work in the
    Long-Term Marine Monitoring Program (LTMMP). The LTMMP assesses and
    monitors the health of coral reefs and associated marine habitats
    across the CNMI. The data collected by the LTMMP provide crucial
    information on the natural and anthropogenic stressors impacting
    marine ecosystems, the factors contributing to reef resilience and
    vulnerability, and the efficacy of specific management actions. This
    information then feeds into adaptive management strategies. The
    successful applicant will provide support for all LTMMP activities
    and related projects. United States citizenship or lawful permanent
    resident status is required.

2. Deckhand Educator

  * Organization Living Classrooms Foundation
  * Location: Baltimore, Maryland
  * Description: The primary focus of the Shipboard Department is to
    teach quality environmental educational programs onboard the M/V
    Half Shell, a Chesapeake Bay buyboat operated by Living Classrooms.
    The Deckhand Educators will teach hands-on science to youth in the
    DC metropolitan area, while assisting with the safe operation of the
    buyboat along the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers. This position
    involves working with students in grades 2nd through 12th, from
    private, public and independent schools.
    Successful candidates for the Deckhand Educator positions must
    possess a strong commitment to the education of all students, be
    motivated self-starters, team players, and have a desire to work

  * Description: 5+ years of advocacy and/or political campaign outreach
    and organizing experience. A Bachelor's degree is also required.
    This role is based in Washington DC and will work collaboratively
    with the team to establish an ecosystem-based approach to fisheries
    management in U.S. law and policy. This role will lead
    coalition-building and outreach efforts and provide strategic
    recommendations to promote Pew's policy objectives within the U.S.
    Congress and federal government agencies.

8. Endangered Species Act Biologist

  * Description: Endangered Species Act (ESA) term position announcement
    is currently out on USAJobs, closing on Jan. 18. This was formerly
    the "coral term" position that has been revised to have broader ESA
    responsibilities. The position will be focused on ESA corals work
    over at least the short-term, as that's what we need right now, but
    the position could eventually include work on reef fish, other
    marine invertebrates, and possibly turtles and/ore marine mammals,
    etc. as the workload dictates.
