* Description: NRDC has an immediate opening for a full-time mid-level
attorney or policy advocate in our Oceans Program. The selected
candidate can work out of our Washington, DC or New York office. The
candidate will work to strengthen ocean protection in the U.S. and
abroad, with a particular focus on sustainable fisheries. Candidates
should be law school or masters program graduates with 3-5 years of
experience.

2. Marine Science Instructor
* Organization: Farallones Marine Sanctuary Association
* Location: San Francisco, CA
* Description: The Marine Science Instructor delivers engaging
hands-on ocean science programs for the Oceans After School, At Your
School, and Visitor Center Field Trip education programs as well as
assists with special public programs for adults and families. This
is a part time position through the Farallones Marine Sanctuary
Association and work is primarily in classrooms at school sites and
in the Greater Farallones Visitor Center. This position requires a
flexible schedule and commitment to work six to eight-hour days
Tuesday-Thursday. The option to work 29 hours rather than 22 hours
may be available and would then include working Sundays each week to
assist with Visitor Center staffing and delivery of public programs.

* Organization: The Consortium for Ocean Leadership
* Location: Washington, DC
* Description: The position will report to the Program Manager, IOOC
and coordinate assigned program operations for the IOOC. The IOOC
Program Associate supports the Research and Education Programs with
a focus on the activities of the Interagency Ocean Observation
Committee (IOOC) and is responsible for coordinating program
operations. The IOOC Program Associate works closely with the IOOC
Program Manager advising and assisting with federal ocean observing
efforts, including the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS®),
which is the U.S. contribution to the Global Earth Observation
System of Systems (GEOSS).

4. Marine Policy Coordinator
* Organization: The Ecology Action Centre
* Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia
* Description: The Coordinator will work on the EAC's marine
conservation campaigns to advocate for government policies to
rebuild depleted fish stocks, promote recovery measures for marine
fish species at risk, and protect vulnerable marine ecosystems. The
job will consist of advocating for precautionary science-based
management of the marine environment. The Coordinator will also
participate in eco-certification assessments for wild fisheries, as
well as stakeholder engagement on policy issues. The ideal candidate
is passionate about making positive change for our oceans,
comfortable with reviewing fisheries science documents and
interpreting relevant policy links. Building relationships and being
able to speak openly and honestly at public meetings is an asset.

recommendations to promote Pew's policy objectives within the U.S.
Congress and federal government agencies.
