Government Affairs Manager is responsible for both leading and
managing the organization's legislative strategies aimed at
influencing the regional and national policy debate on key issues
related to federal fisheries management. The Government
Affairs Manager will work to increase the organization's presence
and effectiveness on Capitol Hill.

* Organization: World Wildlife Fund
* Location: Washington, D.C.
* Description: World Wildlife Fund (WWF), seeks a Specialist, Media &
External Affairs who will work with WWF scientists and experts to
design and implement public relations tactics to advance WWF's
conservation priorities related to ocean policy and marine species.
S/he will develop and implement communication strategies addressing
issues such as illegal fishing, habitat loss, and marine
protections. S/he is responsible for drafting story pitches, press
releases, op-eds, and other communication materials. S/he will also
support digital activities, including social media, content
creation, and placement of content on third-party platforms.
Requirements are Bachelor's degree, 3-5 years professional
experience in public relations or communications. A background in
environmental policy related communications is a plus

advocacy/issue campaigning, as well as political campaigning. A
Bachelor's degree is also required. This role is based in Washington
DC and will build, manage and direct the Pew Environment field
presence across the U.S. Responsibilities include managing staff;
negotiating contracts with consultants; working with campaign and
project managers on field budgets; adjusting field resources to meet
changing project needs; overseeing the development and
implementation of targeted legislative and communications field
campaigns.
