7. Senior Specialist, Northeast Fisheries Policy

8. Fellowship with Oregon's Marine Reserve Program

  * Description: The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife's Marine
    Reserves Program is leading the ecological monitoring at five marine
    reserve sites within Oregon's nearshore waters. The Marine Reserves
    Ecological Monitoring team will be conducting at-sea surveys from
    June-December 2015. Survey approaches include: video lander surveys,
    subtidal SCUBA diver surveys, juvenile fish recruitment surveys,
    fishery independent hook-and-line surveys, and fishery independent
    long-line surveys. We are currently recruiting an 6 month Fellow to
    assist the Ecological Monitoring Project Leader in study planning,
    data collection, and analysis. The Fellow will join our ecological
    science team in Newport, OR. The Fellow will be responsible for
    assisting with (i) survey designs, (ii) pre-field work spatial
    planning (iii) data collection at-sea, and (iii) analysis and
    reporting of data collected in Oregon's marine reserves.  We are
    seeking a post-graduate marine scientist with a strong foundation of
    ecological knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the skills to
    synthesizing monitoring data into useful products for scientists,
    managers, and the public.  The position will be based in Newport,
    Oregon though frequent travel within the state is expected. This is
    a full-time 6-month position, with no benefits. Salary is
    commensurate with education and experience ($19.90 - $22.93/hour).

9. Post-Doctoral Marine Scientist (Impact Evaluation)

    monitor & evaluate the ecological impacts of marine protected areas

    day-to-day implementation of large-scale ecological monitoring
    efforts in the Bird's Head and Sunda-Banda Seascapes for WWF.  S/he
    is responsible for managing large ecological datasets, conducting

    collaboration with others, for building the institutional capacity
    of local Indonesian scholars to implement well-designed ecological

10. Project Administration Manager, Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative
