lead the implementation of a global campaign to secure agreement at the
U.N., by September 2015, to launch negotiations to develop a new
international legal instrument enabling the establishment of
marine-protected areas and reserves on the high seas. This will include

The campaign will work closely with other organizations, including
playing a core role in the coalition of 30-plus conservation

Anguillidae) conservation for nearly ten years both in the UK and
internationally. This position relates to the new three year Darwin
Initiative-funded project “Eels as a Flagship Species for Freshwater
Conservation in the Philippines”. This project will be based along the
northern coast of the island of Luzon, Philippines - with the project
office being located in Aparri – and examine ecological and
socio-economic factors relating to the eels species found in the Cagayan
River.

travel within the Philippines, and if appropriate and funds allow,
