Executive Director, Mid-Atlantic Regional Council on the Ocean

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Council on the Ocean (MARCO) is seeking 
candidates for the position of Executive Director. This is a leadership 
position with organizational responsibilities to advance the interests 
of MARCO http://www.midatlanticocean.org. The successful candidate will 
exhibit the vision, leadership, organizational and entrepreneurial 
skills required to grow MARCO and enable it to deliver products and 
services of value to the five Mid-Atlantic States – New York, New 
Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. The Executive Director works on 
behalf of MARCO and reports to and serves at the pleasure of the MARCO 
Management Board of Directors. This is a one-year contractual position 
with potential for renewal, pending funds.

National Ocean Policy Consultant, NRDC

Position Summary: NRDC has an immediate need for a consultant to 
identify and contact key ocean scientists knowledgeable about the 
Mid-Atlantic region and encourage their engagement in the Mid-Atlantic 
Regional Planning Body’s ocean planning process. In particular, the 
consultant will seek the scientists’ advice and input on the regional 
assessment that will be undertaken as part of the ocean planning 
process, as well as on criteria for periodically assessing progress in 
restoring and maintaining ocean health in the region.

NRDC will not provide the consultant with any office space, hardware, 
software or other equipment to perform this work. This project timeline 
is 3 months.

Hawai‘i Field Representative, Coral Reef Alliance

Maui/Hawai’I Islands

CORAL is seeking an experienced and resourceful individual to join our 
field team in the role of Hawai‘i Field Representative (HFR). The CORAL 
HFR will be based on Maui or Hawaiʿi Island and will work closely with 
the Hawai‘i Field Manager and other program staff to support CORAL's 
mission. She/he will assist with program planning, outreach, and 
logistical support for the implementation of deliverables outlined in 
project and grant work plans.

The HFR will also participate in the strategic planning for execution of 
Hawai‘i program objectives and will be involved in the communications 
with stakeholders and high-level decision makers. The position will 
involve developing collaborations across interest groups and government 
officials, which will include navigating a challenging and often 
contentious political climate, to advance CORAL's goals and project 
objectives.

In partnership with Wales Environment Link, we are looking for a Policy 
Officer to join a team on an exciting project to drive forward the swift 
and effective implementation of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 
and other related Bills, in Wales.

The aims are ambitious but this role will give you the opportunity to 
work closely with members of the Wildlife Trusts Wales and Royal Society 
for the Protection of Birds and others as part of Wales Environment Link 
Marine Working Group and your role will be to provide the specialist 
scientific and technical marine knowledge necessary to inform the 
development of coherent marine policy that will complement and underpin 
marine advocacy work for WEL MWG.

You will be responsible for the development and promotion of marine 
policy at a strategic devolved level and provide advice to WEL on policy 
issues related to the Marine campaign in Wales.
