both internal and external audiences. The Policy Analyst will be
expected to collaborate with a team of Ocean Conservancy experts, state

an advisory group composed of multiple stakeholder interests, to guide
CTP and inform the program of which stakeholder groups have a need for
training, skill building or workshops and provides advice and assessment
of CTP in accordance with GTM NERR management plan. CTP designs and
implements stakeholder processes to facilitate interdisciplinary
approaches to ecosystem management. The Coastal Training Specialist
works directly with the CTP Coordinator and program partners to
coordinate activities within the network, develop workshops and

follow-up research regarding other training providers and potential

development of fossil and/or extant coral reefs in the Florida-Caribbean

a broad area that might encompass Holocene - Pleistocene coring and
interpretation, the use of recent Holocene environmental recorders
(e.g., corals), or any other retrospective geologic techniques involving
paleoreconstruction of climate and/or seawater chemistry and
reef-building conditions. As a potential resource, the Fellow would have
access to the USGS core archives, which include several hundred modern
coral and fossil Quaternary cores from the

The Washington, D.C. Office of the Wildlife Conservation Society seeks
motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Federal Affairs interns for
the fall term (late August through late December). These interns will
have the opportunity to help shape policy that will protect wildlife and
natural resources on a global scale, and learn about the legislative
process first-hand.
The responsibilities of this position will include the following:
-Track developments in Congress and relevant Federal Agencies related to
natural resources, foreign policy and climate change
-Research and analyze federal funding allocations to programs addressing
WCS priority issues
-Attend briefings and hearings on Capitol Hill
-Provide administrative and operational support to WCS's D.C. office:
phones, mail, supplies, expenses and IT support services with State
Services Organization.

24. Ocean Conservation Intern, Conservation Law Foundation
Boston, MA
Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) is seeking an intern to conduct a
variety of research, writing, and administrative tasks to enrich and
promote the advocacy work of its Ocean Conservation program. The Ocean
Program intern will primarily assist with creating a new podcast
discussing marine conservation issues in New England. The project will
include developing stories and content, conducting interviews, and
managing the technical aspects of editing, publishing and hosting the
podcast.
He or she may also be expected to complete a variety of other tasks,
including researching and writing blog and website content for CLF’s
organization-wide blog, The CLF Scoop, and for TalkingFish.org, a blog
managed by the Ocean Conservation Program that fosters informed
discussion about New England’s fishing industry.
The Ocean Program intern will be based in CLF’s Boston office and will
report to the Ocean Communications Associate.

25. Internship, Naval History and Heritage Command
The Naval History and History Heritage Command offers internships to
students who wish to have professional work experience in areas related
to their educational programs and career goals. In addition to
undertaking historical research, writing and editing, the Naval History
and Heritage Command operates the Navy Department Library and the
National Museum of the United States Navy and maintains collections of
naval archives, photographs, artifacts, and art. Internships are
available in all of these areas. The Command is located in the
Washington Navy Yard, 805 Kidder Breese Street SE, Washington, D.C.
Curator, registrar and education internships at the Naval War College
Museum, Newport, RI and curator, registrar, education and publicity
internships at the Great Lakes Naval Museum, IL, are now available.
The command has opportunities for students wanting experience in
archival work, historical research and writing, library science
(reference or technical service), collections management, photographic
archives, conservation (of recovered submerged artifacts), art curation,
museum education, museum publicity and museum curation.

26. Campaign Research Intern, WildAid
San Francisco, CA
WildAid is seeking a Campaign Research Intern for our San Francisco
office. Intern work hours are typically 10 am to 4 pm Monday through
Thursday. Hours within this timeframe are flexible, however, a minimum
of twelve hours per week is preferred.
Intern will be responsible for:
* Assisting Wildlife Campaigner with research surrounding the illegal
wildlife trade including: current wildlife population statistics,
trends in markets and pricing, existing and new legislation, and
identifying shifts in demand for illegal wildlife products
* Creating and regularly updating research database which will remain
as a reference point and toolkit for all staff
* Staying abreast of market trends and shifts in illegal wildlife
product demand
* Researching and identifying new campaign opportunities
* Assembling and organizing PDF reports and scientific studies into
one, easily referenced database
* Program research for WildAid's elephant, rhinoceros, and shark
programs with the potential for additional opportunities
