Research Faculty Opportunities in Chemical Oceanography and Biogeochemistry at the State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research, East China Normal University
Established in 1989, the State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research (SKLEC) at East China Normal University (ECNU), Shanghai, China is sponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China and run by East China Normal University (ECNU). The SKLEC is specialized in the multi-disciplinary research and education at post-graduate level for estuarine, coastal and marine sciences with strong background of application in coastal engineering.
The research group of chemical oceanography and biogeochemistry is undertaking a number of research projects with in the frame of IMBER, GLOBEC and LOICZ in China and has active collaborations with international communities. The research facilitates are available for cutting-edge research for trace element biogeochemistry, organic geochemistry and radio isotopic oceanography.
We are seeking to recruit research faculty in chemical oceanography and biogeochemistry. Applicant for the faculty position needs to have a PhD in chemical oceanography, biogeochemistry, ecosystem dynamics and modeling, or other related disciplines. Application should include CV and cover letter with a summary of research experiences as well as plan for teaching and research at SKLEC/ECNU. A list of three referees with full address is also required. Salary and benefits are negotiable within the frame of ECNU policy and depend on the quality of applicant.
We also invite applications for PhD fellowships candidate in chemical oceanography and biogeochemistry. Application for the PhD fellowship by ECNU and China Scholarship Council (CSC) is required to send the CV and cover letter together with a list of three referees with full address. In the covering letter, the applicant is expected to give a description of the research interest if offered for a fellowship.
